The ATT+300 course is presented in a modular format:
There are five modules which must be completed totaling approximately 250 contact hours (including the mentoring program where students work directly with faculty teachers to get hands on experience in a teaching environment).
In addition to these „contact“ hour modules, students will be assigned reading and writing homework, teaching and assisting assignments, community work, and examinations. This work totals approximately 50 hours.
How the ATT+300 program works:
Students first register into the ATT+300 program and then complete the course at their own pace.
The „Bridge“-module is recommended first, the order of the other four modules is arbitrary. The course repeats its curriculum every two years, except in the case of the „Bridge“-module which occurs every year. The entire program can be completed over a period of two years (minimum) to five years (maximum).
Once all five modules and the non-contact hours (homework assignments, community work etc) are completed, students can apply to write the final exam. Examinations are written individually and reviewed by the faculty. Exams must be passed to graduate.
In addition, students must present one 60 minute teaching class at AIRYOGA or submit a video of their teaching, which must be approved by the faculty before graduation.
Upon successful completion of the ATT+300 program graduates with a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certificate will receive a Yoga Alliance 500-hour certificate.
Those who have a 200-hour Teacher Training from another facility, are eligible for a 300-hour certificate from AIRYOGA and can apply through Yoga Alliance for a 500-hour accreditation.

Session A and Hands-on Adjustments
This overview looks at how to build sensitivity and the quality of “feeling” in one’s hands (and voice). We practice the key points and principles behind making adjustments in order to help move someone further into a pose. This includes creating a deeper foundation in the body, and the expanding energy from that foundation. We will look at ways to increase range of motion and release stress via hands on contact. We also utilize release techniques from acupressure points and the marma points of Ayurveda.
Session B: The Art of Sequencing
The art of teaching is guiding people into the freedom of their own journey. We look at how good sequencing can create magic. We investigate pacing, length of holds, how to sequence using props, and combinations of postures in sequence. How to structure a class from a theme using preparations and posture combinations. We review the importance of the opening and closing of a class through ritual, mantra, silence and holding space.
We also look at sequencing through mandala and yantra theory, combining symmetrical and asymmetrical postures, combining compressive and de-compressive movements and more. Also the course looks at how to make effective sequences for beginners, advanced students, and all-levels classes.
The Magic of Yoga
Hatha Yoga’s combination of breath, awareness, movement, wisdom and stillness weaves a unique fabric. We look at yoga through this lens and see Yoga in a way that it is physically rewarding, mindful, and spiritually uplifting. For leading classes or developing self practice, we detail what it takes to create an experience which is both intense and yet inward and still. Time is spent on how to use language, and how to guide through voice. We also look at how to use imagery and how to teach movement principals. In addition, we cover ways to integrate themes, music and teachings from the yoga tradition into the classroom experience.
This course includes early morning chanting and meditation followed by pranayama and asana practice. Late morning and afternoon sessions explore topics in workshop/group or lecture format.
In addition: Pre-course reading and practices and after course homework for those enrolled in the ATT+300 program.
