‚Some Doors Open Only from the inside’ - Four Workshops with Max Strom
"My mission is to help people remember who they are and what they are capable of and to provide tools that will empower them to live a more meaningful life."
Max Strom has walked a long and challenging path. From feeling like an odd and insignificant loner in his childhood, he has found his voice as a global teacher, speaker and author. Today, Max is known for inspiring and impacting the lives of his students and public. He has taught tens of thousands of students and trained several hundred teachers. He has led three TEDx talks and is the author of two inspiring books: A Life Worth Breathing, now published in five languages, and There is No APP for Happiness, addressing the challenge of finding meaning in the digital age. His third book is in the making.
Max’s interdisciplinary method, Inner Axis, is a system of field-tested techniques that produce rapid results. It is not a style of yoga, it is a hybrid of breathing patterns, movement therapy, Qi Gong, select yoga postures, and visualisation and relaxation methodology. Inner Axis is deeply transformative, powerful and healing.
Having been on the cutting edge of breathing and breath initiated movement for over 26 years Max shared his teaching in over 25 countries and 150 cities around the world. He is recognized by both the Yoga Alliance US and UK at their Advanced Teacher Level (ERYT 500).

How to Inspire and Teach Your Students To Breathe
This special workshop was designed by Max to help teachers to guide their students on how to breathe and why to breathe. In global cities like London, getting a class to breathe deeply can be like pulling teeth. This is because in contemporary urban life there is so much stress, so much competitiveness, and so much frozen energy around people’s hearts; transforming this to a new healthy state is a huge leap of faith. For some, breath work is the hardest part of one’s practice because it is in the chest that we keep our grief and our old memories, and to open the chest would mean dealing with a new personality and a new life - a massive transformation. This is what we simultaneously both strive for and fear. It is like we are stepping on the accelerator and the brake pedal at the same time.
This workshop will include a lecture, standing and seated breath work, and key yoga postures and movements that cause the students to breathe deeply even if they are resistant or not paying attention. This workshop will help you to embrace teaching breath work to students with new confidence and knowledge.
Bring writing materials. (Please no recording equipment).
This workshop is recommended for yoga teachers and teachers in training.

Some Doors Open Only from the inside
The healing power of transformational breath-work
The voice of our intuition and wisdom is commonly drowned out by the noise in our mind. This noise is often caused by chaotic or congested emotions from stress, depression, anxiety, or posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Focused breathing patterns can spark within us the reawakening of our higher nature, the voice of intuition, wisdom, and conscience.
The practices you will learn in this workshop will take you to new depths of insight and inspire you for weeks to come. Max has taken this work around the world to people of many faiths and nationalities.
Bring writing materials. (Please no recording equipment).
All levels are welcome.
