The Joy of Yoga: Learn the foundations of Yoga in four lessons
On four afternoons beginners to yoga are invited to participate in a progressive course introducing the foundations of yoga, including the history and philosophy of yoga, breathing techniques and breath control (Pranayama), bodily poses (Asana) and Meditation (Dhyana).
In these four consecutive and progressive 150-minute classes, experienced AIRYOGA instructors will introduce participants to the basic principles of yoga. Focus will be placed upon detailed explanations, thorough instructions, and collective practice. Other key aspects of the course include observation (Breath), perception (Asana) and awareness (Meditation). Participation is limited to 15 students in order to allow for more individual attention.
The course is suitable for anyone who:
- is completely new to yoga and would like to try it out
- would like to become familiar with yoga from the ground up
- eventually has already attended an Absolute Beginners Workshop or regularly attends our AIRYOGA Basic Yoga classes and would like to deepen their knowledge and experience
The next "Joy of Yoga" course will be taught by Frank Schmid and will take place on the following dates at AIRYOGA, Oberdorfstrasse 2, 8001 Zurich:
Saturday, September 23, 2017 - 2:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Sunday, September 24, 2017 - 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 7, 2017 - 2:15 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Sunday, October 8, 2017 - 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Frank teaches in German.
The cost of the course is Fr. 275.- per person (4 x 150 minutes) and can only be booked as an entire block. Classes not attended are forfeited and will not be refunded.
A minimum of 10 and maximum of 15 participants are required for the course.
Course participants will get a special price on their first series of 10 classes: Fr. 280.- instead of Fr. 350.-
