„Some Doors Open Only from the inside“ - Five Workshops with Max Strom

Don't miss the chance to learn from one of today’s foremost teachers of wellness, finding meaning in the digital age, and breath-based movement.

Born with severe clubbed feet, Max Strom spent much of the first six years of his life with his feet confined in plaster casts and braces. Today, he is known for inspiring and impacting the lives of his students, teaching personal transformation and yoga worldwide. He has taught tens of thousands of students and trained several hundred teachers. Many know him for his two inspiring books: A Life Worth Breathing, now published in five languages, and There is No APP for Happiness, his most recent title addressing the challenge of finding meaning in the digital age. Max’s interdisciplinary method, Inner Axis, is a system of field-tested techniques that produce rapid results. It is an innovative method that incorporates mindfulness, breath-work, and breath-based yoga movement to alleviate extreme stress, anxiety, and PTSD. Because of its success with individuals across the world, Inner Axis is now being adopted by corporations as a sustainable mindfulness program, organizations that want to not only be successful, but healthy, and to make a meaningful difference in the world. Among Max’s recent speaking appearances were three TEDx events and a keynote speech on ethics in business at a Fortune 500 corporation. His articles and interviews have appeared in print, online media, radio, and television around the globe. As an in-demand speaker, Max has presented his method at the Inner Idea Conference, the Happinez Festival in the Netherlands, The Singularity University in the Silicon Valley, as well as countless yoga festivals. Max is recognized by both the Yoga Alliance US and UK at their Advanced Teacher Level (ERYT 500). You can see more of his work on his DVDs and online course, Breathe to Heal.

Friday, January 24, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm: How to Teach, Inspire, and Protect Beginners
Seminar for yoga teachers, teachers in training, and beginners.
The beginner needs a combination of repetitive-movement, safety, education, and inspiration. They also need to learn to breathe and to understand why they need to learn to breathe. Leading such a class is often intimidating to teachers leaving them reluctant to teach beginning students at all.
Experience Max Strom’s renowned class for beginners that has been refined over 23 years of teaching. It will help you to embrace teaching beginning students with new confidence and knowledge.
Bring your mat and writing materials. (Please no recording equipment).
Training workshop will include:
•  Key yoga postures, and movement patterns
•  Communication techniques, verbal and nonverbal
•  The essentials of breath-work and its emotional impact
•  Dynamic Meditation and focus that changes their perspective
•  Wisdom Beyond the Mat
•  Safety - protecting the student from themselves and you

Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am: Strength and Stillness
The intent of yoga is not only to increase our strength and flexibility, but also to promote health and vitality. The next layer is to transform our behavior from coarse to gracious, and to transform even our very thoughts, from chaos to beauty.  Experience Max Strom’s unique practice, called, Inner Axis, is a hybrid of yoga, Qi Gong, and unique breathing patterns that emphasize emotional transformation. Class will include a short talk, inner axis yoga, non-dogmatic philosophy, breathing, and meditation.
Open to all levels.

Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm: Some Doors Open Only from the inside
The healing power of transformational breath-work
The voice of our intuition and wisdom is commonly drowned out by the noise in our mind. This noise is often caused by chaotic or congested emotions from stress, depression, anxiety, or posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Focused breathing patterns can spark within us the reawakening of our higher nature, the voice of intuition, wisdom, and conscience.
The practices you will learn in this workshop will take you to new depths of insight and inspire you for weeks to come. Max has taken this work around the world to people of many faiths and nationalities.
Bring your mat and writing materials. (Please no recording equipment).
All levels are welcome.

Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am: Opening the body - and finding your Emotions
Movement-based workshop
This movement workshop begins very gently and then builds momentum. At the apex we move directly into a special sequence of postures that opens the internal body that induces an emotional sense of release, brings the mind into stillness, and the body into a new state of energy. This class is both challenging and very healing.
Bring your mat.
All levels are welcome.

Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm: Max Strom’s Communication Series
For teachers, leaders, and managers
Known as an exceptional communicator, and teacher, Max shares indispensable tools and insights to help you become a better teacher or manager by improving your ability to communicate, verbally and nonverbally. People often assume that great communicators are able to speak clearly, concisely, and lovingly because they were born that way, but this is rarely true. Teachers and leaders who excel with communication often simply work harder at it and never stop studying and improving their art.
This workshop offers several techniques for refining and empowering your ability to communicate what you want to say in the tone you want to say it with. You will not find workshops for teachers like this anywhere else.
Bring a mat and writing materials. Please no recording equipment.
