Therapeutic Thai Massage Workshop with Zoltan Gyorgyovics
Thai Massage is a beautiful ancient healing art, that has its roots in Indian philosophy and is deeply connected to the practice of Yoga.
Thai Massage involves deep work on the energy lines throughout the body, gentle joint mobilisations and full body stretches - similar to yoga asanas. It combines fluid, dynamic techniques with deep, long holds.
In this workshop we will focus especially on the lower back, the shoulders and neck as these are common areas of tension and pain. However, in both sessions we are going to touch the body in its wholeness to keep the holistic approach that makes Thai Massage so special and effective!
Zoltan combines Thai Massage with techniques and principles from Osteopathy and Craniosacral Therapy, which transform his work into a unique and inspiring poetry. His special gift in both giving treatments and teaching workshops is to always adjust his knowledge to the need of his patient or to the group he is teaching. As a result, the content of the workshop may vary according to the experience and level of the participants.
If you have never done any bodywork before, take this chance to learn about how to use your hands in a safe, mindful, simple yet incredibly profound way.
If you already have some experience in any other kind of bodywork, this workshop will introduce you to this beautiful Thai Healing Art, as well as show you how to use your body with ease and stability, allowing you to deeply listen to another body, to give optimal support and to invite the capacity for self-healing.
If you are already practicing Thai Yoga Massage, here is the time and place to refine your techniques, to deepen your skills and to get new inspiration.
Born in Budapest, Hungary, Zoltan Gyorgyovics travelled to Indiaat the age of 23 to study Hindi and Sitar. There, he also came across Yoga and started to practice intensively at the Shivananda ashram in Rishikesh.
