WildLotus Yoga & Pranayama Retreat with Mirjam Haymann

You don't have to travel far. The new Sutra House in Riehen near Basel will be our beautiful destination to retreat out of daily life. Doing so over a few days we have the time and space to expand our Asana and Pranayama practice and to grow the nourishing dialogue with ourselves. Through consistent practice, delicious vegetarian food, deep rest, spa and massages, we will establish healing stability. This seems more valuable today than ever before.

The courage to pause our daily life, the investment to take time to listen inwards, often results in new discoveries. Discard what is not necessary, stripping away what we no longer need so that the strong roots can blossom anew.

We will start each day with a deep, energizing and strengthening Asana practice of two hours progressing over the course of the weekend. We will then continue with an introduction to Pranayama in the stunning Meditation space of this location. After that we will enjoy a healthy and wholesome lunch.
The afternoons are for rest, walks, time in the spa or to be together. We will have a late afternoon session of Asana and some contemplation and introspection to check in with ourselves, our intentions, goals and re-arrange our perspective. We will conclude each day with a vegetarian dinner.

This get-away is for Yogis who already have a basic understanding of Yoga, who want to deepen their practice, are willing to grow and receive the healing effects of a steady Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation practice, combined with wholesome food and plenty of time to rest. All classes will be taught in English.

This Yoga and Pranayama Retreat will be offered from Thursday afternoon November 19, through Sunday noon, November 22, 2020 at the new Sutra House in Riehen near Basel/Switzerland.

The Teacher – Mirjam Haymann
Hong Kong - ever-changing, competitive and hectic, created an exciting stage for Mirjam to dive deeply into the studies of Yoga. She feels blessed to have completed several Anusara teacher trainings and immersions with Patrick Creelman, a highly inspiring and profound teacher. After giving birth to her baby girl, Mirjam further attended a pre- and postnatal teacher training program with Jean Byrne and Michelle Papa. The intensive mentoring with Rinat Perlman, the managing teacher of the Pure Studio Hong Kong, is essential.
For Mirjam, yoga presents the opportunity to strengthen the body, to abandon limiting behavioral and thinking patterns with a clear mind, and to confront herself and others with love.
Mirjam was born and raised in Zurich. She studied law at the University of Lucerne, is working as a part-time editor and lives with her husband and their three children in Zurich.

The Sutra House
Opened beginning of 2020, the Sutra House is a space for Meditation, Yoga, Nutrition, Therapy and Healing Arts, a sanctuary where one can re-connect to the inner life and explore the “nature of things”. Set into a forested hillside near above the Rhine valley and village of Riehen, Switzerland, the Sutra House has been designed by the Basel architect Nicolas Hünerwadel in close collaboration with AIRYOGA teacher Stephen Thomas. The space consists of an old, converted part and a modern new building elegantly connected to it.
The spacious Yoga room on the ground floor, the sky-lit meditation room under the high roof with large open views to the east and west for sunrise and sunset as well as the gathering/salon room with fireplace form the core zones of the house.
Besides Yoga and healthy food, a heated outdoor pool, a sauna, a steam bath, massages, walks in the forest and a lot of coziness await you in this beautifully decorated house with a crackling fireplace and a library, with a great selection of books on Yoga and spirituality.
During our stay the Sutra House with its own sauna, steam bath and pool is exclusively at our disposal.
