„Did you take your Yoga-Vitamins?“ – A Workshop Series with Diana Schöpplein
In his Yoga Sutras, Patanjali describes the importance of the three „vitamins“ of Yoga: Trust (Shradda), Vitality (Virya), and Mindfulness (Smrti).
Through Asana, Pranayama, Kriya, and Meditation we will explore these building blocks of the Yoga method: We ground ourselves in the appreciable reality of the body in order to connect with the sense of universal trust. We energize body, mind and heart with specific Yoga asanas and breath work. And we expand awareness of the interrelationship of body, breath and mind in order to discover the nature of our being.
Diana Schöpplein passionately loves life and Yoga from the bottom of her heart. Since her teenage years she keeps exploring the body, mind and heart connection as a source for an inspired and healthy life. To choose a fullfilling life again and again, requires mindfulness and permeability. With a certain amount of Tapas - the inner yogic fire - so called strokes of fate can be experienced and utilized for ones personal journey. Diana percieves life as an inspirational opportunity for growth in reconnection with ones core essence. Through the committed and dedicated practice of Yoga Asanas, Pranayama and Meditation, perspectives are changing and new spaces and dimensions are opening up. As an artist, Diana embodies Yoga as a deeply creative process, an universal and at the same time extremely personal expression of being. She is truly fascinated by the transformational power of this ancient multidimensional wisdom, which she transfers to her students with authenticity and passion. For Diana embodied spiritualty means to open up for the lifeforce.
India became a second home for Diana. A country of extremes and paradoxes. Colorful, chaotic, and magic, India challenges the Western mind und forces one to see from the perspective of the heart. She passionately shares her love for the country of origin of Yoga with Yoga inspired students in her annual India Reteats.
Since her move from Berlin, Diana teaches weekly classes in Zurich. She regularly shares Workshops and Yoga-Retreats in Europe and India. Next to her Online courses she leads and supports Yoga Teacher Trainings. Yoga and Ayurveda, Mantra and Art are melted into a holistic lifestyle, to move, encourage and empower people.
Under this aspect she also offers Ayurvedic Massages and her DevadiYoga Design Collection.

Diana Schöpplein will lead this workshop series at AIRYOGA, Fabrikstrasse 10, 8005 Zurich on the following dates:
Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm: Trust - Shraddha.
Ground yourself in the appreciable reality of the body in order to connect with the sense of universal trust.
As stated in Patanjali’s Sutras, trust is a fundamental requirement for our yoga practice. However, our innate universal trust often gets disturbed in the process of growing up. This tends to affect our connection towards our own body. Many people have troubles trusting themselves, others and life itself.
This session is designed for you to discover pathways to experience yourself as part of a bigger unity and supports you to rebuild trust into this universal intelligence. We will dedicate our attention especially on the backside of the body as it represents the connection to the Universal, amongst others via partner exercises and backbends - mindful, playful und trusting.
Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm: Vitality - Virya.
Energize body, mind and heart with specific Yoga asanas and Breath work.
In the Patanjali Sutras, the second „Yoga vitamin“ is defined as the principal of vitality as an expression of our inherent aliveness. Due to certain factors such as lifestyle choices, but also through possible individual dispositions, our animate impulses get overlayed. Everyday life stresses and psychological challenges drain our precious energy resources.
The Yoga tradition offers an ideal method to reactivate and encourage our vital force. In this session you will learn yoga sequences and breath exercises, that allow you to free yourself from physical, emotional and mental ballast. We will mainly practice twists, heartopeners, cleansing kriyas and tapping massage techniques, that can be easily applied in your daily life, to enhance your energy, clarity and enthusiam.
Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm: Mindfulness - Smrti.
Expand awareness of the interrelationship of body, breath and mind in order to discover the nature of your being.
Mindfulness is very trendy these days. Yet it is as ancient as Yoga and all other traditions that are dedicated towards the in-depths connection of body, mind and soul. Yoga and the newest sciences have acknowledged that our quality of life is strongly dependent upon our level of awareness. How conscious we perceive and sense ourselves in the space and time continuum, in association with ones own self and others, is the third building block of the Yoga method according to Patanjali’s Sutras.
Asana and Pranayama practices prepare the sound foundation of this workshop session. Reveal coherences and structures through exploring the body and expanding the breath. Learn to raise your level of concentration and to sharpen your mind through breath awareness and Vipassana meditation to experience the complexity of yourself.
This workshop series can be booked as a package or by single sessions.
It is suitable for all interested students with basic Yoga knowledge.
Diana teaches in English and German.
The cost is Fr. 70.- per single session; Fr. 190.- for all three sessions.
