Buddhi Yoga: The Yoga of Awareness – A Lecture with Ravi Ravindra
The Divine Incarnate Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita very much emphasizes the importance of Buddhi Yoga, the Yoga of awareness. Ironically, hardly any yoga exponents speak about this. If there is one common lesson of all the scriptures it is simply this: a radical transformation of our whole being is required, almost like a new birth, for us to come to the Truth or the Real or God. At the same time, the fundamental mechanism of transformation is awareness. Whatever we become aware of changes in its quality and in its relationship with us.
Dr. Ravi Ravindra was born and grew up in India. His education led him to Canada where he became Professor of physics and then comparative Religion at Dalhousie University in Halifax.
For decades Ravi Ravindra has been a voice of compassion and hope. He has travelled the world speaking to diverse audiences about the need for a transformation of human consciousness. Ravi’s search has led him to the teachings of G.I. Gurdjieff, Juddu Krishnamurti, Yoga, Zen and into a deep immersion in the mystical teachings of the classical Indian and Christian traditions
