Expand your practice into a new dimension - A Workshop with Natalia Knuchel and Live Music by Pascal Gamboni
Natalia Knuchel - yoga teacher with a background as a contemporary dancer - is looking forward to share her passion with you: Techniques from Hatha Yoga and Movement Research lead us through a playful afternoon – accompanied by singer-songwriter Pascal Gamboni, who creates a unique atmosphere with his guitar sounds and his warm, energetic voice.
In the first part of the workshop we will focus on the origin of the movement – on our breath - and increase this pulsation into the extremities. With a strengthening asana sequence and spiralling twists we will stabilize our core and create space in the body.
Subsequently, we will experiment with gravity: We will play with balance and discover different ways to use our body structure effectively to straighten up in an efficient way and then slide back into the floor. We will gradually begin to leave the place on the mat and expand the radius of movement.
Finally, we combine asanas from the first part with elements from the second part to a choreographed sequence.
Particularly for yogis and yoginis who are used to practicing exclusively on the mat, this workshop can open up access to a new world of perception: the dimension of lightness and boundlessness which can arise by diving into the experience of movement through space and time.
Natalia Knuchel studied as a contemporary dancer in the 90s in Zurich and Amsterdam. She has performed in Germany and Switzerland (including the E-Werk in Freiburg i.Br. / the Tanzhaus and the Rote Fabrik in Zurich). The work with the body in space still inspires her after many years.
Since 2013 Natalia has been teaching yoga classes, workshops and retreats.
She completed her training as a 500h certified yoga teacher at AIRYOGA and lives with her partner and two children in Zurich.

Pascal Gamboni sings in Romansh and English. Like Natalia’s mother, he comes from Surselva in the canton of Grisons. The common mother tongue connects Natalia and Pascal with each other, as well as with their roots in the mountains.
