Ashtanga Yoga Workshop with Chiara Castellan on May 30, 2020
Discover the essence and magic of Ashtanga Yoga
In this workshop, you will be encouraged to transform your practice into a moving meditation. You learn the technique to take it to another level.
On this afternoon, we will overcome our bad habits and learn the tools to practice yoga more precisely and consciously.
With the correct alignment and techniques in each pose combined with steady and even breathing, engaging our bandhas and focusing our drishti, our practice becomes a moving meditation.
Take the opportunity to learn the essential postures of the Ashtanga Yoga method, the Vinyasa system in depth and the techniques, asana alignments and correct breathing to strengthen and balance the body in it.
One of the greatest challenges of this asana practice is the vinyasa, including the jump back and jump through movements. We will explore the various components of this movement and its modifications in-depth. Floating will become safe, elegant and fun for everyone. Building on this principle we will conclude the session by playfully exploring some arm balancing positions such as handstand.
Discover your own strength and softness, to fly like a bird and stand brave and steady on your forearms and hands. It does not matter how experienced we are in the series, but that we practice yoga intelligently and therapeutically. By doing so we find ease in the postures, can practice safely and live a wholesome life on and off the mat.
