Breathwork & Ice Bathing: A Workshop with Jan Pekarek
It's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.
The power of habit is the hardest adhesive in the world. Nothing limits us as much as our habits. Life usually waits there where we are not expecting it.
In this workshop you will experience how you can optimize your body and mind through breathing techniques, cold exposure and focus exercises. Learn how to increase your resilience to recover mentally and physically. You will be able to recall this experience in decisive situations in everyday life and thus behave more calmly and purposefully.
Breathing techniques, mental focus and ice bathing have a quick and positive effect on your immune system and mental strength. Cold strengthens the cardiovascular system and it simulates stressful situations as they are encountered in everyday life. You experience your reactions consciously and practice how to deal with them.
This workshop offers you a theoretical insight into the processes that take place in our bodies when we take an ice bath. You will have the opportunity to bathe in the cold Lake Zurich under professional guidance and to feel how your mental focus, your breathing and your sensations change.
At the end of the workshop there will be time to share experiences and/or to ask questions.
Jan Pekarek has been working for over 20 years on various ways to live healthy, strong and content. He used to run marathons and climb 800 meter walls while always looking for a new challenge. Also skydiving and extreme sports gave him the feeling of being alive.
Today, ice bathing and breathwork give him vitality and contentment without loss of energy and without taking high risks. Breathing techniques, mental concentration and exposure to cold are part of his everyday life. Jan lives more satisfied and healthier than ever with his family in Buchs near Zurich.
AIRYOGA teacher Tanja Forcellini will assist Jan and offer a meditation session as an introduction.
Jan Pekarek will offer this workshop on Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at AIRYOGA, Oberdorfstrasse 2 in 8001 Zurich. The ice bathing will take place in the Lake Zurich.
The workshop is suitable for those who want to improve their mental or physical performance, alleviate illness-related symptoms, or simply enjoy ice bathing in November in Lake Zurich under professional guidance.
Previous knowledge is not necessary.
If you have no experience yet with cold or ice bathing, we recommend that you finish your showering regularly with cold water as a preparation for the workshop.
This workshop is not suitable:
- during pregnancy
- for epilepsy
- for people with cardiovascular problems
