Anton Persson

Anton grew up in Sweden. After finishing his studies in the United States and relocating to Switzerland he came into contact with yoga for the first time in 2007. Over the years he intensified his practice of meditation, asana and pranayama as a way of managing the increasing pressures of a corporate career. When friends and relatives started joining his asana self-practice sessions, he decided to get a formal teacher training and found his most influential teacher, Stephen Thomas. Having searched for a way to manage stress, he found in the yoga philosophy an entire blueprint for how to live life: both personally, and in relation to others.
Anton’s teaching stays true to the original purpose of yoga stated in Patanjal’s first sutra “Yoga chitta vritti nirodha” which he freely translates as “finding peace of mind”. Expect classes that strike a balance between challenge and relaxation (“lagom jobbigt” in Swedish) guided by Anton’s calm presence.
He primarily teaches in English but as appropriate also in German and his native language Swedish.
