Simon's Classes
Simon radiates calm and serenity, which is how he leads his classes, which are characterised by a calm structure, time for awareness of body and mind and a powerful and appropriate alignment in the asanas. Pranayama, mindfulness and a pinch of humour are a must in his classes. He offers his students a space in which they can put down roots, calm down and relax their nervous system. Sometimes less is more. Simon discovered yoga for himself six years ago. A personal crisis led him to an Iyengar yoga school. As a former track and field athlete specialising in shot put and hammer throwing, he found many asanas difficult. The tools of Iyengar yoga were a great support for him, which is why he likes to invite students to use tools to make their practice easier and more enjoyable. Simon completed his yoga teacher training in 2021/2022, before which he attended an MBSR (Mindful Based Stress Reduction) course with Pius Meier. Simon is constantly training in the areas of alignment and correction options in the asanas. He has been a student of Johannes Glarner (pranayama/meditation) and Carlos de Azevedo for many years. Simon is the father of three children and runs his own property company in Zurich. In addition to yoga, Simon is very interested in being human, embodiment and exploring the human psyche. He completed a one-year training in "Transparents" based on NARM and other seminars in this field. He teaches in German.
